He was\u00a028 and his mind was full of the new sciences and technologies that were changing life in 19th century Europe. He had trained with the best at Greenwich in England and\u00a0Australia; he was presented with a \u2018blank canvas\u2019 to implement his many ideas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 300; color: #373737;\">Until recently, he was best, and to many, only known for his work with the Overland Telegraph.
